Terpene: Limonene

This is the second most abundant terpene in cannabis, and it produces a citrusy aroma.  Limonene is commonly associated with fruity, citrus aromas, and it’s found in many everyday items like Cosmetics, cleaning products, and fruit rind. While limonene is often assumed to be abundant in strains that smell like lemon, this isn’t always the case.  Limonene has strong citrus notes with distinct tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, and orange flavors that push through.  Limonene is a mood-enhancer often used in aromatherapy. It also has antifungal and antibacterial properties.  Recent studies have revealed that this terpene may have a role to play in reducing tumor size.
